Welcome to the Club Guadalupano website!

Club Guadalupano was formed in 1952 as an extension of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Elgin as a Hispanic civic, social, and cultural organization. In 1977, scholarships were made available exclusively to graduating high school seniors and the First Latino Awards Banquet was held. Each year two adults or organizations have also been honored for valuable community service. The tradition continues. This year marks the Forty Fourth Anniversary of awarding scholarships to graduating Hispanic seniors at School District U-46 High Schools and at St Edward Central Catholic High School in Elgin, IL.

Club Guadalupano Scholarship Donations

Posted on Mar 8 2021 - 4:38pm

Dear Friend of Club Guadalupano,
Please consider donating to the Club Guadalupano to help us support our students. The Club Guadalupano of Elgin is proud to continue offering its annual Hispanic Scholarship Awards. We will be honoring outstanding academic achievers graduating from Bartlett, Elgin, Larkin, South Elgin, Streamwood and St Edward Central Catholic High Schools. Many of our honorees will be first-generation college students. Most of our applicants have a 3.5 GPA or higher, and many are graduating in the top 5% of their high school senior class. Scholarships such as ours provide them much needed financial assistance so that they may pursue their academic and career goals. Our long history in assisting local Hispanic students further their education gives us a great deal of pride as we see many of our past award recipients now making real contributions to our community as educators, social workers, business professionals and attorneys. While the monetary aspect of the scholarships is important and most helpful to the recipients, the encouragement they get from knowing that their accomplishments are recognized and supported is invaluable. In addition, the recognition they receive provides them with encouragement to continue with their goals.

On behalf of the scholarship committee, I would like to thank you for your continued support and ask you to consider making a contribution to the Club Guadalupano Scholarship Fund. I also invite you to join us in recognizing the accomplishments of our outstanding recipients.

Please consider donating to the Club Guadalupano to help us support our students.
All donations are appreciated and recognized in our program booklet.
